Terms of Service
Last updated: May 8, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Schedli, a service that converts course syllabi and similar documents into Google Calendar events. By using Schedli, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Schedli is operated from British Columbia, Canada. Contact: [email protected].
1. The service
Schedli (“the service”, “we”, “us”) accepts an uploaded document, extracts dates and events from it using AI, lets you review the results, and writes events to your Google Calendar after you approve them. The service is currently in closed beta and may change at any time.
We do not promise that every date will be extracted correctly. The service is a tool to save you time, not a substitute for verifying your own academic deadlines. You are responsible for confirming the events that are added to your calendar.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Schedli. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or guardian has consented to your use of the service.
3. Your account
You sign in using a Google account. You are responsible for keeping your Google credentials secure and for any activity that happens through your account.
You agree not to:
- Share your account with anyone else
- Use the service to upload documents you do not have the right to upload
- Attempt to break, abuse, reverse engineer, or overload the service
- Use the service to violate any law or anyone else's rights
- Upload content that is illegal, infringes copyright, or contains malware
If we believe you have violated these Terms, we may suspend or terminate your access without notice.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of any documents you upload. By uploading, you grant Schedli a limited, non-exclusive license to process the document for the sole purpose of extracting events and writing them to your calendar. This license ends when the document is deleted from our servers, which happens within minutes of processing (see our Privacy Policy for full details).
You are responsible for the content of what you upload. Do not upload anything that:
- You do not have the right to share
- Contains other people's personal information without their consent
- Violates any law
5. Beta service
Schedli is in closed beta. This means:
- The service is provided as-is and may have bugs, downtime, or unexpected behavior
- Features may change, be removed, or be replaced without notice
- Access may be limited to whitelisted users
- Pricing, if introduced, will be announced in advance
We make no guarantee that the service will be available or that any data will be preserved.
6. Free during beta
The service is currently free for users participating in the closed beta. We may introduce paid plans in the future. If we do, we will give existing users at least 30 days notice and an opportunity to keep using free features (which may be limited compared to the current beta version).
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- Every event extracted from your syllabus will be accurate
- The service will meet your specific requirements
- Any errors in the service will be corrected
You are responsible for verifying the events Schedli adds to your calendar.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Schedli will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, lost academic standing, missed deadlines, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms will not exceed one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD 100) or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
9. Termination
You can stop using Schedli at any time. To delete your account and any retained data, email [email protected].
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. We will give you reasonable notice when possible, but not always.
Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
10. Third-party services
Schedli relies on third-party services including Google (sign-in and calendar), Anthropic (AI processing), and our hosting providers. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms. Schedli is not responsible for their actions.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users by email or by a notice on the site at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Any dispute arising out of these Terms will be brought in the courts of British Columbia, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
If you are a resident of a jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws, those laws still apply to you.
